Frequently Asked Questions
Why do people see a psychotherapist or counsellor?
People see a therapist for many reasons including anxiety, bereavement, depression, health issues, PTSD, trauma, stress, grief and low self-esteem. Therapy also helps with relationships, identity, work stress and life changes. Expats, immigrants and LGBTQIA+ clients often find support helpful when adjusting to new circumstances.
Do you offer online therapy as well as in person?
Yes. I see clients in person in Dover, Kent and Central London, and I also offer online therapy in the UK. Sessions can also take place outdoors or by phone if that feels easier.
What issues can therapy help with?
I work with many clients with a range if concerns from anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, bereavement, employment, longterm health issues, stress, burnout, low self-esteem and relationship issues. I also provide therapy for expats, immigrants and LGBTQIA+ clients.
How long does therapy last?
Therapy can be short or long term. Some people need only a few sessions, while others prefer more time to explore deeper issues. We will agree what suits you best.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. I offer a free 20 minute online consultation. This is a chance to ask questions, share what brings you to therapy and see if we are a good fit.
